Today is going to be a weird day.
During the second quarter of the big thing they are doing today, the whatchamajig, the thing everyone gets excited about. You know, the game thing-y?
The Super Bowl thing.
Right.
Anyway.
During the second quarter of game and in select local markets (i.e., if you have a Jack in the Box a stone’s throw away or even within range of a friendly cat toss), you will see a commercial for Jack in the Box.
We did not create the commercial.
We created the site mentioned/plastered/featured in the ad.
I. Am. Freaking. Out.
Like, huddled in a corner, rocking back and forth, sucking my thumb in the fetal position kind of freaking out.
Why am I freaking out?
If the site goes down after the ad airs, this will be very bad. Like, end of the world because someone threw a cat in your face kind of bad.
So yeah, while you guys are watching 300 pound behemouths try and knock each other senseless, know that there’s a balding, bearded and very twitchy nerd over here at his desk in SLC, watching his monitoring software like a hawk and ready in an instant to call RackSpace and scream at them to spin up yet another server to make sure very bad things fail to happen.
Also, the site is about bacon.
You guys like bacon, right?
I mean, it’s no melted cheese, as Lindsay would say, but it’s still bacon, you know?
(And no, I have not, nor will I be trying a bacon milk shake anytime soon.)
Today will be remembered as the day I got jealous of a bacon cheeseburger’s tiara.
